CIRB Supports The St. Baldrick’s Foundation

The Iowa Chrome Domes (Several whom “hail” from Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa) “shaved” the day at this year’s St. Baldrick’s “hair-raising” event!

Leprechauns of all ages supported, participated and donated at this year’s event on March 13, 2008, held at the Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino ballroom in Altoona, Iowa.

CIRB’s Operations Manager, Denice Cajigas, Overland Park, Kansas attended the event, in support of what has now become known as the world’s largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research, and, an organization that continues to soar in participants and donors.

Denice Cajigas commented that the excitement and enthusiasm was awesome, as the crowd marveled in the anticipation of watching the 28 Volunteer Shavee’s of 2008 – “take it off!”

The event coordinator and fellow “Shavee” Frank Bigley, Senior Vice President & Reinsurance Department Manager of FMH, fluently engaged the audience in what demonstrated to be a successful strategic bidding performance - which was not only entertaining, but played a huge part in the team’s efforts of surpassing this year’s fundraising goal, by raising over $40,000 in donations.

The mission of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is to raise awareness and funds to cure kids’ cancer by supporting cancer research and fellowships.

“Bravo” Iowa Chrome Domes Team!
